DUI arrest altercation results in broken police car window

Forty-nine-year-old Lisa Marie Jones was charged with driving under the influence in Dallas and received additional charges when her arrest turned into a struggle, the Rome News-Tribune reported on March 20.

Police pulled Jones over initially for speeding–she was driving 54 mph in a 35 mph zone. Once they did so, they administered a field sobriety test, which she failed. When they tried to arrest her, Jones put up a struggle and ended up kicking out the window of one of the police vehicles. As a result, Jones was not only charged with a DWI, but also obstruction of law enforcement and a felony charge of destruction of government property.
