Arlington man receives 32 years for 5th DWI

A 34-year-old man, who was arrested for his 5th DWI charge in August 2009, has now been sentenced in the case. Because he already had four convictions, he was sentenced to 32 years in prison.

The incident occurred when the man ran a stop sign and was pulled over by police. Officers reported that the men smelled of alcohol, had open beer cans in the car and failed a field sobriety test.

He was arrested and taken to Ellis County Jail. Also, a small amount of cocaine was also found in his car, but he denied knowing anything about it.
