Study shows that ignition interlocks decrease rate of drunk driving

According to a new study done by the Community Guide branch of the Center of Disease Control and Prevention, ignition devices have prevented people convicted of drunken driving from re-offending.

The rate of getting re-arrested for those who have been convicted of driving under the influence has a decrease of 67 percent from those who have their licenses suspended.

Some have said that these devices will be used more often because it is effective. The devices are typically installed on the dashboard and tube is attached to them that allows for a person to blow into it in order to determine their blood-alcohol content.
