Handcuffed man drives off in Dallas police patrol car

A man from Grand Prairie drove off in a Dallas Police patrol car after being handcuffed and arrested by police.

The man got away from the scene and area police continue to look for the 31-year-old man after he abandoned the car in Arlington. The man was arrested after a domestic violence call was made at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday when reports were made that the man has assaulted his girlfriend.

When police arrived the man was arrested and put in the back of the patrol vehicle. He then got behind the wheel and drove off while police officers stood nearby. They later found the vehicle 20 minutes later in Arlington, but the man had already fled the scene.
