What is the difference in an MIP and an MIC?

An MIP is designated for juveniles under the age of 21 who are found in the presence of alcohol. An MIC is reserved for youth offenders that are found to have consumed alcohol. The penalties are similar for either accusation, and any juveniles found guilty may face serious repercussions that could have detrimental effects on their future. As such, it is important for minors to do everything they can to fight alcohol-related charges.
