One person shot during attempted robbery in Dallas

A woman was shot while walking in downtown Dallas during an attempted robbery, near the AT&T building.

According to authorities, two women were walking down the street to the AT&T building where they are both employed, when a man approached them holding a gun. He asked the woman to give him her purse or he would shoot her. She refused, and said well, shoot me then. He then shot her in the head. The other woman ran to get help.

The gunman then fled the scene without the purse and is still being searched for. The victim was transported to the hospital and is expected to be okay.

Woman arrested for theft of SUV

A 29-year-old woman was arrested after she stole a woman’s SUV that had her five children in it.

The woman faces charges of auto theft and abandoning/endangering a child and was brought to jail after she was arrested. The children, ages ranging from 1 to 9, were left in the car for a short period of time while their mother went to peak into a rental home. The mother left her Ford Expedition running so that the children would have air condition on them.

The 29-year-old woman then got into the SUV and drove off. Later she dropped off four of the children and left one in the car before she continued to drive off. Two miles later, the police found the SUV abandoned in a parking lot.

Wichita Falls man suspected in Dallas robbery case

Dallas Police Officers arrested a man from Wichita Falls who is suspected to be involved in a Dallas robbery case.

The 53-year-old man was charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of robbery. He was also charged with violation of parole. The Dallas robbery occurred at a Whole Foods store when a woman was loading groceries into her car. He knocked her down took her ring and necklace, which were valued at $90,000. Surveillance video and a partial license plate led detectives to the man.
