A mother was arrested and charged with intoxication assault after a car accident that injured four of her five children that were in the vehicle.
The accident occurred as the 27-year-old woman was driving down Cesar Chavez near Grand Avenue when she lost control and struck a pillar.
The woman was charged with four counts of intoxication assault and her bail was set at $80,000. The four injured children were taken to Children’s Medical Center Dallas with serious injuries. The woman’s boyfriend was also in the vehicle and he was transported to the hospital to be treated for his injuries and later released.
Two people were arrested and two people were sent to the hospital after a Dallas car accident.
The accident occurred at the intersection of S. Polk Street after exiting Highway 67. The driver of the a Nissan was heading southbound toward a green light when a pickup truck that had two men and a woman inside, struck the Nissan.
Two people inside the Nissan were injured, including a 16-year-old girl. The two men fled the scene of the accident, but police was able to find them after speaking to the woman that was inside the car. The driver of the truck was charged with two cases of Intoxication Assault.
