A woman in Austin has been arrested for allegedly burning her friend with macaroni grease and throwing a frying pan at her.

According to police, a domestic violence call was made claiming an assault incident had just occurred. Allegedly, a woman had gotten mad at her friend when she told her to give her child medication.

The woman then allegedly hit the woman and threw the food and grease at her. The woman also allegedly bit the friend when she was trying to restrain her. The 24-year-old woman was charged with third-degree assault and injury.

Man arrested for attack on woman, claims he is a vampire

A 19-year-old man was arrested and is currently in jail after he attacked a woman over the weekend. The man claimed that he was “feeding” on the woman because he was a 500-year-old vampire.

Longhorn player suspended after assault arrest

A University of Texas Longhorn football player was arrested for a Class A misdemeanor assault with bodily injury charge on Monday.

Christian Scott, a safety for the football team, was suspended as a result of the arrest. Police were called the 300 block of East Yager Lane at 1 p.m. on Monday and Scott was arrested and taken to Travis County Jail.

Head Coach Mack Brown announced that the decision to suspend Scott was made after talking to his family and athletic officials. After the legal process is complete, a decision will be made about Scott according to what is best for him and the university. Scott started in 10 games last season.

Ex-Longhorn arrested on assault charges over weekend

A former Longhorn football player and current running back for the Cincinnati Bengals was arrested on Sunday morning after a fight with his former roommate.

The 28-year-old Cedric Benson was arrested after a call was made to police at 5 a.m. claiming that Benson was in a fight on West Fifth Street. According to reports, Benson allegedly walked up to his former roommate and said that they needed to talk about  living situations.

Man arrested after allegedly beating a bus driver

Three police officers injured after alleged assault case

A suspect has come forward after a shooting incident that left three officers injured after being hit by bullet fragments.

The incident  occurred as the police officers were called to an apartment complex after it was reported that someone was shot. The suspect was helping a wounded victim back into an apartment.

Two charged of assualt after fight
