Sixty-six arrested in drug ring on the Texas/Arkansas border

Sixty-six people were arrested after allegedly being involved in a drug-trafficking ring on the state line between Arkansas and Texas.

Those involved in the arrest were accused of selling crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of at least five public schools. Forty-one of those arrested were part of a an investigation by law enforcement officials called Operation State Line Sweep.

The indictments on the arrest include conspiracy to distribute crack-cocaine, felony possession of a fire arm, use of a firearm for a drug trafficking crime, and conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Those arrested face from five years to life in prison.
