Man sentenced in drug trafficking case

A 40-year-old Mount Pleasant man has recently been sentenced in a drug trafficking case.

According to court records, the man plead guilty in Nov. 2010 to conspiracy to possess cocaine with the intent to distribute it. He has now been sentenced to 135 months in prison.

The man was also forced to forfeit ownership of a commercial property. Court documents show that the man delivered three kilograms of cocaine to Chicago and was planning to distribute it.
