Man receives 7th DWI, sentenced to 99 years

A Central Texas man has just been charged with his seventh DWI and after a two days of testimonies, the man has been sentenced to 99 years in prison.

The arrest occurred in October 2010 when the man was seen driving in circles by a deputy in Williamson County. The man then turned onto the roadway and swerved into the shoulder where he almost struck the deputy’s vehicle.

The deputy then stopped the man and conducted a field sobriety test. After the test, he was arrested and the deputy noted that he also had six previous DWI convictions so he was charged with a felony DWI. A blood sample from the man showed that his blood alcohol content was at a .25.
