Texan arrested for suspicion of statutory rape

A 32-year-old Texas man was arrested for suspicion of statutory rape after he picked up a teen that he met on Facebook.

According to authorities, the man drove to the girl’s home to pick her up and then drove her back to his home town. The girl was in her early teens. Her father reported her missing and then the younger sister informed the family that her sister had met someone on Facebook. Officials said that the conversations between the man and the teen were of a “mature nature.”

The man knew the girl’s age and she knew his. Once arriving to his hometown, he got nervous and dropped the girl off at the police department and she was returned home. Police than arrested him for suspicion of online enticement of a child for a sexual act.
