North Texas Crime Commission pushes for sobriety checkpoints

The North Texas Crime Commission is pushing for a new bill to pass in this legislative session that will allow for sobriety checkpoints to be used.

The sobriety checkpoint allows police to stop all drivers when they get to a certain part of the roadway. This gives police a chance to look at all drivers and check to see if they are under the influence.

The law would state that the sobriety check points will have strict regulations on where they can be located, how they are monitored and how the are regulated.

If you or a loved one has been stopped in a similar checkpoint and arrested for a DUI, you need experienced representation on your side. Contact the Dallas DUI defense lawyers of the law office of Mark T. Lassiter by calling (214) 845-7007 today.
