A police trainee for the Dallas Police Department was arrested on Saturday night for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

The 30-year-old was arrested after police stopped him after he was involved in an accident around 3 a.m. The man was taken into custody and was let out on $500 bail.

The man was hired in November 2009 and was in his second phase of training. The man has been placed on leave while the investigation is underway.

A top 10 Texas fugitive caught by police

A man that is ranked in the top 10 on the Texas Department of Public Safety Most Wanted fugitives has been arrested in Hurst.

Authorities somehow discovered that the man was working at an car dealership in Hurst and arrested him on Friday. The arrest came just days after he was put on the list.

The man has been on the run since 2007 when he was arrested for assault, possession of a controlled substance, driving while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance.

Man arrested for driving the wrong way on Stemmons Freeway

A 38-year-old man was arrested on driving while intoxicated charges after driving eight miles in the wrong direction on Stemmons Freeway and causing a head-on collision with another car.

A witness reported the man driving the wrong way around 2:45 a.m. after the man hit the car driven by a 26-year-old woman. Both the man and the woman were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries and the woman has already been released. The man was transported to Dallas County Jail after he was released from the hospital.

Two arrested after Dallas car accident

Two people were arrested and two people were sent to the hospital after a Dallas car accident.

The accident occurred at the intersection of S. Polk Street after exiting Highway 67. The driver of the a Nissan was heading southbound toward a green light when a pickup truck that had two men and a woman inside, struck the Nissan.

Two people inside the Nissan were injured, including a 16-year-old girl. The two men fled the scene of the accident, but police was able to find them after speaking to the woman that was inside the car. The driver of the truck was charged with two cases of Intoxication Assault.
