Man sentenced to seven years in prison after 8th DWI offense

A 48-year-old man was sentenced to seven years in prison after being arrested for his eighth alcohol-related driving offense.

The man struck a plea deal and admitted to felony DWI charges and driving with a revoked license. In the plea deal, the man had charges of another DUI and possession of cannabis dropped.

The most recent DUI offense was in December 2006. Officials have said that with good behavior the man may be able to be eligible for parole in three years.
